The moons of rain and hail had gone, replaced by a sunny and warm atmosphere. The earth was starting to harden more and more, and the animals that once were all over the place, started to appear once more.
There was a sudden crash, and a small calico she-cat, amber eyes wide with fear, ran into the alley, knocking over trash cans as she went. Two dogs chased her. One was tan and black, and the other a golden white color.
She yowled, her fur bristling as she came to the dead end. She turned around, ears back, lip curled, and a hateful look in her eyes. How was she going to get out of this?
'Dogs are stupid. Surely I can find some way to outsmart them?' she thought to herself, looking around the alley. But it was hopeless. She was done for. Nothing could save her now. She let out another blood curling yowl, hoping that someone would come and find her, and help her get away from these two ugly brutes.

Charly walked down the street - well, it was more of a sligt strut, hips swaying even so slightly, head and tail raied. Charly had the walk of a cat who knew she was beautiful, though not the personality of one. Most show cats she had met were rather conceited, though that was not the case with Charly. Sure, she kept her fur groomed, and wasn't and all-out tomboy, but she knew how to have fun and didn't mind getting dirty. It seemed the young cat was always looking for adventure, and due to these traits, most of her friends were toms. They were easy friends to make for her - they were attracted to charly for the obvious reasons. Toms just seem to gravitate towards vibrant blue eyes and snow white fur. Despite the fact Charly wasn't all snow white - she was a ragdoll, and possesed a light grey helmet and tail. It didn't seem to make a diffrence. Though She wasn't into that whole romance thing - she was young and, to a certian extent, immature.
She stopped her 'strut' and she reached a neat little picket fence. There was a neat house behind it as well - trimmed bushes, an apple tree, pale blue paint. She looked up at the fence and after a moment's pause launched herself onto it, her delicate-looking paws landing direcly on the post she had been on below. She perched herself there, waiting for someone she knew to pass.

Shadow walked down a street. He walked like any other cat, not noticable. He didn't like ot have the spot light like some cats. He was handsome, but didn't flaunt it around. He loved to walk around outside. He really didn't want to be put in a pound or anything, so he tryed to stay away from his home while his girls parents were home. He heard a yowl from an alley, and ran towards it. He looked down the alley to see a cat trapped by two dogs.
'What should i do?' He thought blankly. He stared at the scene, his fur bristling. He hated dogs, they were stupid and ugly. 'That poor cat', he thought, 'traped by two ugly dogs.' He looked around, for something that might give him an advantage over the dogs, who were much bigger than him.

The she-cat looked around, franticly searching for something to get away from the dogs. Spotting a trashcat just a few pawsteps infront of one of the dogs, she got ready to jump. Landing on the trashcan, she quickly jumped onto one of the dogs back, still shaking, dug her claws into its flesh, and jumped off, running as fast as possible. 'I'm going to make it! Ha! Stupid dogs! I can beat them any time, anywhere, anypla- Ahh!' she thought. She tried to skid to a stop, only to run into the tom who had been trying to think of a way to help her. Though she didn't know of this. "S-sorry!" she mewed.

Nora padded along the edge of the wooden fence, staring down at her creamy sand-colored paws and not watching where she was going. She was daydreaming yet again, and she didn't see where she was going. She walked right into Charly, who was one of her best friends. Charly was like in the sense that she loved adventures and she didn't mind getting down and dirty. Nora snapped out of her daydream and looked up at Charly, then grinned.
"Sorry, Charly, I was daydreaming again," she meowed, sighing. She settled herself down next to the she-cat. "So what have you been up to?" she asked with a purr.

Charly smiled, a faint purr rising from her throat. "Again, Nora?" She smiled. "Well, nothing's been happening lately, really. You remember when there was a whole pack of vicious alley-cats living near here? I wish something exciting like that would happen again."

Nora nodded quickly. "I know! Lately, nothing's been going on." she said with a sigh. "Sometimes I wish I led a more exciting life, like from the stories I've heard about cats that live in colonies in junkyards and even of cats who live in clans in the forests...but then again, I love my life here, and my Twolegs love me."
Nora sighed again, pausing to groom one of her paws.

"Yeah, I don't mind my twolegs either. But that does sound fun." Charly shrugged. "Though I wouldn't want that life. I mean, I don't have any friends in the forest, I can't hunt, and I'm scared of ghost cats that live in the sky. So its obviously not the life for me."

Nora smiled. "I know. Those cats do scare me - always fighting and never finding a simple answer for anything." she meowed. "Or at least that's how the stories go. But you're right, I know I'm much happier here. I just have an overactive imagination, or so my mother always told me." she giggled.

Honey was currently exploring around her block. Although she seemed too young and too small ,as other cats described, to go exploring it didn't stop her. It was probably beacause of her streetcat blood. And she was very proud to be part sreetcat. Beacause of that she was very headstrong and usually getting into trouble Right now she was padding up to Nora and Charly, two cats that lived by her home and freinds of hers.

Shadow stumbled backwards slightly at the bumb from the she-cat. He looked at her then at the dogs behind her, "Its fine." He meowed, "Maybe we should get out of here now." he meowed softly. He turned and started off away from the dogs and towards a fence. Hopefully past the fence they would be safe.

The calico nodded and quickly followed the tom, her fur bristling. Due to her long legs, Shy easily kept up, and took one spring, landing ontop of the fence, only to fall down from lack of balance. Luckily, she fell on the other side. She had plenty of time to twist, causing herself to fall on her paws gracfuly. She waited for the other cat to join her on this side of the fence, while shaking slightly.

Nora looked down the fence and saw her and Charly's friend, Honey, padding up.
"Hey Honey!" she called, purring and smiling, "How are you? Come up here!"

Nora smiled. "Yeah, same here," she meowed. "Just hanging out, talking. Sharing the gossip," she let out a long purr.
