Hey, my name's Mazun. I'm not sure I have any right or reason to post this board, but I thought it might be a good idea. Ok, to the point.
When I first joined this board, and I was looking at the Updates and Welcome and I noticed that there was nothing in the Current Plot box/thing. It just says 'plot will go here.' I was thinking, if Kitty and Leo haven't figured out what the plot could be, maybe we could come up with some ideas. It's better when more people have a hand in making the plot, becuase it increases people's interest in it, seeing as they might have helped make it.
If it's fine with the admin's I thought it be cool if everyone posted their own idea's for the plot here, and then we could pick a few we like or work them together. That way we'd have an awesome plot, and people would be able to have a say in it.
I'll post my own suggestions's if this idea is ok'd. Kitty, Leo, if you already have a plot, you can just lock this board I guess.
I would also like to comment on how wonderfully random these background's are, but that's a bit off topic.

Leo and I have discussed a few plot ideas when we were first making this board, but I'm not sure if we ever actually decided on one. But I think this board is a great idea. :] I'd love to hear what you and the other members have to say, and all of their ideas. Leo and I can post ours too, though I'm mainly only good at twists. cx
Though, I'd like to have a plot that's different from all the rest. Not just some battles here and there, because a clan was caught stealing prey or something. It gets boring replaying the same plots over and over, just giving the clans different names and territories, ya know?
hehe, i love the random backgrounds! ;D Thank you, Mazun, for making this board. c:

Your welcome! I'm glad you like it. For some reason I'm brain-dead right now, so I'm not going to post any really specific plots yet, I'm just going to post what I've seen before. I've been doing Warrior's roleplays for 5 year's I think, and I've seen a ton of different plots in guilds and such on Neo and other websites. I'll list some of the ideas and then say what I think about them.
*enters lecture mode*
First of all, there are many different 'archetypes' of Warrior plots. (An archetype is a big category in a subject.) They can be easily divided up. I'm going to list them.
I'll put an ! after one's I like, I could add !'s to the one's others like as well. I'll put a X after one's I feel are very overdone, and I could do the same for others opinion too.
Some of the main types include:
-- Lack of prey/food - A clan stealing prey X - Twoleg intervention(would be good with spin)
-- Disease (harder to do) - Brought in by another cat - Caused by pollutants ect.
-- Losing territory/Having to move (in books) - Getting kicked out X - Environmental disaster X
-- Battle/Fighting - With another clan XX - Internal(in the clan) ! - Against another animal (foxes, bears, ect.) X
-- Environmental Disaster (all of these are slightly over done) - Forest fire - Flood - Earthquake - Huge storm, ect.
-- Invasion of Territory (could go with Losing territory) - Twolegs X - Other clan XX - Other animals
-- Rivalry/Betrayal (could go with battle/fighting) - Internal ! - External - Formation of rouge pack (in books) X - Forbidden mates/kits (depends on how it's done) X OR ! - Love between clans (see above) X OR !
-- Twolegs - Kidnapping cats (in books) X
-- Prophecy (of one of the previously mentioned) - This is pretty self-explanatory !
-- Something with Starclan - Lose of contact which leads to one of the aforementioned plots ! - Thinking they have been deserted, blaming a cat, group of cats
If I've forgotten something, please tell me and I'll edit this list.
Twists are of course, some of the best things to do, as they add spice to a somewhat ordinary plot. There are too many to name, as I'm sure most of you know.
This is, in no way, a complete list of all options, it's just some building blocks. I would suggest picking a few and then elaborating them, and giving them twists and such, then having a vote or something to decide on the final one.
LONG post. o.O

;D This is VERY helpful Mazun, thank you! :]
i'll post a few ideas for twists later, there could be more than one of them, so post as many as you want. c:

Great board Mazun! I love the idea of a disease, but everyone just made their characters, and i dont think anyone one will be willing to have any of them die just yet... you know?

: D Your welcome.
If you two both really like the idea of the plague/disease, I have an idea.
Seeing as the majority of us probably wouldn't like to kill off some of our beloved characters, why don't we make it so that the plague has already savaged the clans, so most of the characters that would be killed, are already dead. That way, we only have to have a few cats die in the actual roleplay, and we can just make up names and brief descriptions for them.
The clans could be dealing with the mutual loss that would come from such a disaster, and that would naturally be causing tension already in and between the clans as they try and figure out how to beat such horrible thing.
Something could happen to unnerve the cats even further, like someone important dieing, maybe an unfilled position in one of the clans that doesn't have the leader/deputy/medicine cat yet, or a twoleg getting close to the cats, or something like that.
After something like that happened I'm sure some of the cats would be ready to believe they'd been deserted by Starclan, even if they haven't, so tensions would run even higher until some sign came or something.
But even then, maybe the clans would fight, becuase they're scared and frightened and very on edge. It'd be interesting.
Sorry if that's to detailed. XD I kind of get into thing like this.

Thats a really good idea, Mazun. (Not an empty compliment, I actually think its really smart.) Me and Kitty also thought of an idea over Aim. Its very complicated, but also really cool ansd extremely origonal. Here we are:
So there is an animal shelter just next to Thickeclan territory, and you know how they sometimes havve cemetaries for the pets they euthinize?, Well, this pet cemetary is rather large, and is on thicketclan territory. There is a group of cats that live in this cemetary - at first they are satisefied just staying in the cemetary, but as they learn more and more about the clans, they decide they want to go to starclan when they die, and they want to become their own clan. So they claim a big chunk of Thicketclan territory - and you can imagine how this would upset alot of cats. But its not as just driving them out - a large part of this clan is the ghost cats of the pet cemetary. Eventually Starclan has to step in, and there is a both mortal and immortal fight - the clan cats against the cats that live in the cemetary, and starclan against the ghost clan.

I like that idea. It seems really good, and it's enormously unique. The whole premises of ghost cats outside of Starclan wanting to get in is awesome. The clan those cat's want to form, it could be named Ghost or Spiritclan or something else of that nature.
How could they figure out about the clan cats? Maybe they could have followed some Thicketclan warriors to a gathering, and overheard them talking of Starclan? Then they'd approach them the next time, or sooner? There would have to be a confrontation between the original clans and the newly forming one, that would be cool.
If there are ghost cats in that clan... I have an idea for a twist. Maybe, only a few cats can see the ghost cats at first, perhaps the cats that are closer to Starclan(leaders, medicine cats) and a few warriors. But at first people don't believe them, until they themselves can see the cats. The ability to see them could spread.
The cats of the original clans wouldn't be able to do anything to the ghost cats would they? They're ghosts.
Would Starclan wait until the last minute to join in with the fight? I think it'd be cool if they had had some idea this was going to happen.
On another note, I have a cat named Rook/Rooktalon(depending if he's in a clan or not), who would thrive in a clan like the ghost cat clan. He's a big black long-haired tom with yellow eyes and large claws, he's maleficent and an opportunist. I'd love to be able to use him if we use that plot, he could be part of that new clan, maybe he could even help lead it, if that's not to much.
Once again, I really don't know how to stop talking. XD

Thanks. And we were thinking, which I forgot to put in my last post, that the ghost cats find out from the cats in the dark forest, but it would also be good to add your ideas about that as well - there should be more than one way they find out. And I really Adore your idea for a twist. But instead of like leaders, maybe there should be one cat from each clan that could see them - someone thats not tooken to serious, like a new warrior or an apprentice? And each of those cats receives a phrofesy about it. Because it was like the leader or medicine cat that could see them, they would be be;ived right away. And it should be like, the other cats can only see them on the full moon, maybe? Right-oh. The cats of the clans can only fight the live graveyard cats, and the cats of starclan only fight the dead graveyard cats. And I don't know how starclan would know it was going to happen... maybe they don't join the fight untill the ghost cats find someway into starclan? And Sure, Rocktalon would be great for Ghostclan.

Wow leo good plot! What if the cat to see the ghost cats was a kit. And it tried to tell others but they didn`t belive it. Then one or two moons later the father or mother would be able to see them? And I think it should start in thickeclan because it the closest.

Don't forget, me and Kitty thought of it together. I don't want to take all the credit! Yeah it will definately be in Thicketclan. And somewhere along the line of a kit or an apprentice in each clan, yes. But I think I'm going to stick with the full moon idea - unless Kitty doesn't like it.

Ah, your right, the leaders and medicine cats would be taken to seriously. That sounds good, maybe you should choose the people who can see by random, but make sure that one person doesn't get two people who can see, or you could just chose whoever you think could do it best, maybe hold auditions. (But that might take to long.) Also, if the people who have the sight can only see the ghost cats on the full moon, they might think they're going crazy. That would be interesting to see.
I was thinking more about how the sight could spread, and I wondered, maybe it could be through consistent physical contact with the cat that already can see. So, if the cat is a kit, than the kit's family will be the first to start to see. But if the cat is already an apprentice, it would be the cat's mentor or the other apprentices.
In the books, at least in the one's I remember clearest, it seemed to me that Starclan sometime just had a certain perception for when bad things were going to happen to their decedents. They might not know exactly what was going to happen but they might be able to sense that something was wrong. The medicine cat's might pick up on that, though I'm not sure, the books aren't really that clear on how close they are to Starclan.
Great, I really wanted to use Rooktalon, I don't get to that much. I bet some more people might want to play Ghostclan cat's, maybe even the ghost's themselves. It might be a good idea to make another clan board for them, and put the option to be in Ghostclan when you make a bio, that would be really helpful, I'm going to try and make Rooktalon's bio tonight, so for now I'll put him as a rouge. This plot will be great. : D
