((Yeah, I've heard that it's super rare to find a male calico. And in the UK, they call calicos tortiseshells, and they call what we call tortiseshells tortiseshells as well, so Redtail probably wasn't what we call a calico, as you said. =D But I wonder why its rare to find a male calico...? Have scientists figured it out? Anywho, back to the rp. =]))
Nightstealth snorted at Ribbonpaw, meowing, "That branch really gotcha back there, huh? Gotta look out for those." he smiled good-naturedly at his friend, then he looked down at the ground to see that the stream was right below them.
"Climb down, guys, we're here," he called to the cats in front of and behind him, and he clawed his way head-first down the tree. He paws hit the ground, and he stretched briefly. Then he sat down, waiting for the others and trying not to be noticed by the high population of prey that lived here.

"Ketcheh!" Ribbonpaw spat, though quietly as to not scare the prey. He, too, stalked down the tree, landing lightly against the ground. He balanced his weight on his haunches, just to not scare the prey that were already there. His ears swerved slightly, his jaws parted, trying to find prey. Already he coud hear muffled scuffling and smell squirrels; the Clans should be thankful that prey was so plentiful these days. ((Yea, it is. Abby said that it's the genetic coding of cats, basically And apparantely she heard of a real calico tom once.. It died 6 days after it was born XDD;; )

((But Redtail could've been what we call a tortiseshell, and they call a calico. There can be tortie males, and they do have red on them, so this one could've had a reddish tail...I don't know, lol. xDD))
Nightstealth raised his head, sniffing the air. He caught the scents of many different kinds of prey, just as he had known there would be. Pausing, he decided on the scent of a water vole, coming from the bank of the stream. He lowered himself into the hunter's crouch and stalked through the underbrush, staying light on his paws.

(Yeah, calico toms are super rare, but there are some in the world. Though, from what I've heard, every calico tom ever recorded was unable to have babies. XDD I can't say if its true or not, since I don't remember where I heard it from, but its funny. ;D)

((Yes, I heard that too from Abby. When she told me that, my reaction was: "AW MAN! YOU SAY IF I MAKE SPECKLEPAW A CALICO HE CAN'T HAVE BABIES!?" XDD;;
Heard that tortoise-shell toms were rare, too, but if Gigi says not than it's not *Abby doesn't know everything in the world*))
Ribbonpaw watched as Nightstealth stealthily (Yes, there is a joke here) stalked his prey, though due to the many smells the apprentice couldn't tell at first which one the warrior was hunting. Taking in a deeper breath, he was able to scent that Nightstealth was heading to a water vole.. Another musky smell hit the roof of his mouth: squirrel, extremely close by, so close that he could smell every hair on its pelt. His own fur was covered by forest scents; it would have a hard time finding him. Swerving his head around carefully, he spotted the gray creature, located on a slightly low branch not far from them. He knew that he could catch it in a single jump; if it didn't notice his orange pelt. For a moment he stayed still, his legs bunched, ready for take-off.. Then he jumped, his outstretched paws heading straight towards the squirrel. The prey noticed a heartbeat before he landed that it was being targeted, quickly heading straight one direction. However, as it did that, Ribbonpaw swinged one paw towards it, his other paws pressing against the branch as he landed himself. The paw struck the squirrel, bringing it closer to him, and he bit down on it quickly, snapping its neck. He held the limp prey, now fresh-kill, between his jaws, feeling a bit of pride in him; he had never slapped an animal close to him before.

Amberleaf watched the others up in the trees smiling. She liked solid floor under her paws, and always thought she owuld fall after breaking a branch on one of the trees. She was somewhat strange for certain things, but tryed not to show those things often.

((Haha, yeah, well, I don't know for sure if that's 100% correct, lol. I just assumed that since in the US they call calicos and torties different names, there should be a distinction, but they're the same name in the UK and in other places, too, so I really don't know, lol. Abby's probably right, since she sounds like she looked it up or something ;]
Oh and I didn't know that calicos couldn't have babies! That's odd...I wonder how/why. LOL...well, you learn something new everyday. =D))
Nightstealth crept forward silently, staying light on his paws. His belly fur just slightly brushed the grass, and soon enough he was only a foxlength or so away from the water vole. It was distracted by drinking from the creek, so the dark-colored warrior knew he had a little time.
Raising his nose above the grass, Nightstealth noticed that the wind was blowing towards him, so the prey wouldn't be able to smell him yet. He crouched down low, his eyes locked on the vole, and then leapt, his claws extended. The vole barely had time to spot him before he landed - hard - on the small animal's back. It squealed sharply, but Nightstealth cut it off by delivering a fatal bite to the neck. He quickly thanked StarClan for the vole, then snapped it up in his mouth. He padded back to the main clearing to look for a place to bury it.

((BECAUSE CALICO TOMS ARE GENETICALLY INCORRECT! X3!
You know the new book, Cats of the Clans? It says that THUNDERCLAN IS THE ONLY CLAN THAT DOES THE HUNTER'S CROUCH! =OOO Who knew that?))
Ribbonpaw's ears, after he scraped soil over his catch, pricked up on his head; he had heard the announcing that Nightstealth had caught his vole. Knowing that the squeal might have alerted some other prey, his ears swerved in a few directions, outlined gold by the sunlight. Finally they stopped to his right, a faint scrabbling coming from behind a rock a few foxlengths away. At once Ribbonpaw froze, staring at the spot. A moment pass, the only thing moving being a leaf gently floating down to the ground.. Suddenly a shrew popped from the rock. The apprentice realized with a silent hiss that the wind was blowing away from him, allowing his prey to smell him. Instantly, it began to scramble towards the stream, so quick that he knew that he only had a few heartbeats to catch it. Ribbonpaw bunched his hind legs and leaped, his body high in the air, twisting his body before he landed so that his paw hit the shrew, making sending it flying into the air before it could run. Paws drumming neatly in order as he landed, he spun around and slashed out an sheathed paw, slamming it to the ground before it could land. The impact of the ground and his paw instantly broke it's neck, so the orange tabby didn't even have to bite it. He silently sent a thanks to StarClan; there was so much prey in ThicketClan at the moment, and the cats were used to being well-fed.
