"Tie..." The word almost seemed to be a question, as it was edged with confusion, yet it trailed off, not quite ending with an appropriate punctuation. Still, the word was left unanswered and unheard as the girl behind the counter, sat slumped over, her head burried in her arms. Oversized earphones were around her neck, the music on full blast, though she didn't hear it either. Not at the moment. The young man's voice repeated her name, "Tie!" This time the name was louder, more like an exclamation, though it was more firm, almost stern; but it wasn't him who would be mad to find out that Tie, yet again, had fallen asleep on the job. He rolled his dark green-brown eyes, and lifted himself onto and over the counter. Placing his hands just above her ribs, one on each side of her thin frame, he trailed his fingertips ever so softly down her sides. Just as he had assumed, the girl's head lifted form the table immediately, a small squeal escaping her throat.
"Ricky!" She groaned through gritted teeth. Her hand shot out, fist slamming against his shoulder before he had the chance to dodge. The ammount of anger, which showed in the force of her blow, let him know that she was truely angry. That wasn't at all intended to be playful. Or at least he thought. Sighing, he slinked away rubbing his shoulder.
Tie moved a few stray strands of wispy, dark brown hair, off her forehead, tucking it behind her peirced ear quickly. Running her fingers through the rest of her hair, she tried to smooth it down, before lifting it all into one hand and twisting a ponytail holder around it in three hasty loops. The music still blasted in her ears, and she didn't turn it down, or off, but instead raised the headphones over her head and onto her ears. Bussiness at the comic book store was not very great today, or well, any day really, so she didn't care much about sitting around waiting for someone to nonchalantly walk in. Instead, she always brought something to do. Her enormous backpack, complete with laptop, earphones, books, sketchpad, journal, and other completely random and useless items that you wouldn't expect to find. But that's just how Tie was. She was everything you wouldn't expect, but everything you'd love to find. Until of course, you got annoyed or bored with her, which people seemed to always do, very quickly.. Especially when she was in one of those... moods.
She often found people throwing her away. Almost as if clicking the delete button, removing her from their lives completely. At least that's how it seemed. For, no one ever remembered her. No one knew her name. She was usually referred to as 'that weird girl', if she was being referred to at all. And just as people got bored of her, once she got bored of her life, she would throw it away into the recycle bin, and go on to live a new one. She'd pack up her very few things and travel far away from where she had once lived, usually only for a short while, and pick a new style to base her next personality on. It was almost like giving herself a complete make over. But not just her hair and clothes, but instead her entire additude. Voice, including accent, name, her entire look on things, her opinions, and even what she believed. No one, not even her, knew the real... whatever her name happened to be at the time. The only thing that didn't seem to change were those strange mood swings of hers. One minute she'd be all happy and innocent, the next extremely upset, or angry, usually for no reason at all.

* * * * * * Ricky turned the knob on the sink, letting the rush of cool water run over the back of his hands, and escape through his fingers. Turning his hands over, he cupped them together, letting the water hit against his palms until it filled up and slowly began trickling over the top and into the sink. He lifted his water-filled hands and splashed it over his face, rubbing his eyes and trailing wet fingers through his short, messy blonde-brown hair, causing it to stick up here and there. Twisting the knob again, he turned off the water, and let the remaining liquid on his face linger on his skin for a while, before it dripped off his chin, or down his neck. It was summer, and the little old comic store located on the boardwalk just a few blocks from the beach was always scorchingly hot this time of year. He sighed as he pushed the swinging door to the restrooms open and walked out into the hallway and to the main room. There were maybe around four to five aisles of bookshelves lining the room horizontally from the front of the store to the back, and directly across from where he was standing was the counter. He smirked as he saw Tie mouthing the words to whatever music she had blaring into her ears this time, with her eyes closed, while clicking a pen repetitively.

[[Mind if I rp also?]] The bell that clung to the comic book store's door jingled as two figures stepped into the shade, the door swinging shut behind them. One figure was so tall he could easily tower over some of the tallest basketball players, standing at about 6"2-6"3ish. The other was way shorter and obviously younger, at about 4 feet. They stepped into the light from the shadows. The taller figure was a boy, 18 years of age. He was built and broad. He had muscles that threatened the fabric on his back to be torn to shreds at any split second. Obviously he did a lot of weight lifting. He was wearing a black tee shirt and a pair of old blue jeans. His name was Hunter, he had fierce emerald eyes and short deep brown hair, that seemed to turn black in the light. The other figure was also a boy, but much younger, about 7 years of age, he was small and had shaggier blonde hair, and his eyes matched Hunter's like a paint match-up. He ran around the store looking at the different comics as Hunter approached the counter and leaned against it waiting for him to choose. "Hurry up buddy, you can get three." Delight warmed up the little boy's face as he eagerly flipped through a comic at the window.

[[ Not at all. c: ]]
"Anything I can help you with?" Ricky walked up to the older guy that leaned against the counter, glancing back at the seven year old as he passed the many shelves of comic books through the third aisle. Tie opened her eyes in time to see the man against the counter just after Ricky had asked him the question. She smiled, turned off the music, and slid the headphones around her neck again. Placing her elbows on the counter, she rested her chin on her palms and waited. She spotted the younger boy hastily rummaging through the hundreds of comic books lined up chaotically on shelves. Her eyes lit up, as she jumped from the chair behind the counter and walked toward the boy.
"Which is your favorite?" She asked, knealing down to his level.

He smiled at the girl's kind gesture towards her brother. Not wanting to seem rude or ignore Ricky he turned towards him in one single swift motion. It seemed to have happened in less than a second. "Eh, my brother's just browsing. It's his birthday so I'm taking him out to get him a few things of whatever he wants. Not surprised he chose this place first." a grin plastered it's self across his lips as he turned his attention back towards the other two. Now Hunter had is back proped up against the counter, with his arms crossed and right leg draped over the left. He stuck his hands in his jean pockets and fidled with his keys before pulling them out and twirling around his index finger. He stared outside through the glass at his pride and joy. His jet black Aston Martin Vanquish. He had it all glossed up the day before, himself. A lot of his spare time went into that car, and making it perfect. "Definately this series!" the boy punched a finger at the first one he was holding. "Grab three you like Colton." Hunter reminded him, also speaking his name for the first time.

[[I'mma jump in. Is that cool with everyone?]]
The bell rang again as another potential customer entered the comic book shop. She stifled a groan as a rush of burning air greeted her at the door. The teen had been hoping to escape the summer heat, and the comic book shop had seemed the only place to go. Sure, there were plenty of other shops, but the girl wouldn't be caught dead in the candy shop, the dog boutique, or any of the other shops on the way to the boardwalk.
The girl was about 5'7" with black hair streaked with lime, orange, magenta, blue, and just about every other color imaginable, so that it was nearly impossible to tell what her natural hair color was. Her icy blue eyes matched the paint on her nails. She wore a tight, form-fitting Bullet For My Valentine T-shirt that showed off her curves and a pair of black skinny jeans. The girl of 18 years strolled down the aisles, gazing boredly at the comics mounted precariously on the shelves.

"Wonderful choice." Tie mused cheerfully, looking over the cover of the comic at the muscular super hero dressed in a brightly colored outfit with tights and a cape. Smiling, she stood up and glanced back over to Hunter, before walking in his direction. "Little brother?" She asked, the grin still crossing her face. Ricky smiled as well seeing the quick change in Tie's expression, thank god today wasn't one of her bad days. He'd only known her for a few months now, since she'd recently moved from her home in New York to Florida, but it felt like he'd known her all his life. They spent just about everyday together, not only at work, for their houses were just a few blocks apart.

A content smile stretched across Hunter's pale lips, as he nodded. "Got everything then?" he asked looking towards his brother. The bell that sounded then caught his attention and he took in the girl's appearance who had just walked in. He shoved his hands into his pockets and turned back to the counter. For the first time he took in the whole scene of the shop. His mind saw, registered, and memorized the contents of the whole building in less than a second. He ran his fingers through his thick, & slighty curly hair has he witnessed Colton getting together the last of his items of purchase.

The smile didn't leave her face, as she walked behind the counter and began clicking buttons on the cash register. Ricky tore his eyes from Tie, toward the door where another customer had just walked in. 'This one's mine.' The though ran through his head so quickly that he hadn't realized how competitive his brain worked. "You're very...." he paused trying to think of a word to describe the girl's appearance as he took in every detail, "Colorful." He grinned, making his way over to her. "Need help with anything?" His desire to help someone was huge, almost as if he absolutely needed to figure out any little way he could do something to make someone happy.

"Hm?" The girl looked up from her feet, locking eyes with the young man strolling toward her. "Uh, yeah. Do you have any Thor comic books? I've tried a few stores, but they don't have 'em in stock. My little sister is having her birthday tomorrow, and she loves Thor, so I was hoping maybe I could get her a few comic books. She doesn't have very many..." She trailed off, gazing up at the ceiling and tapping her toes to some Kiss song that had been stuck in her head all day.

Hunter and Colton waited patiently for the girl to ring up Colton's comics by the counter. He looked down at his small brother as he returned the gaze with a big beaming smile.
