Marshpaw padded out of the apprentices den. It was early morning, and the bright dawn sun was making his black-and-white fur shine. He was up and full of energy, which must've been because he had fallen asleep early the previous evening, because waking up early was an odd thing for him to do. Marshpaw padded out to where the fresh-kill pile was, and noticed it was small this morning. Instead of being disappointed, Marshpaw was happy, because this meant he would probably go hunting today with his mentor. He sat down, waving his tail impatiently, and waited for more cats to awake.

Willowpaw blinked awake. She nealy always awoke with the sun - she found it impossible to sleep when it was light out. She padded out of the den and saw Marshpaw by the fresh-kill pile. He wasn't usually up this early. "Marshpaw!" She chirped in her bell-like voice that most found cute and some found unbearably irratating. She quickly grabbed a mouse and sat next to him. "What brings you up so early, Marshpaw?" She asked. Though she seemed hyper enough, if you knew her well you would know that this was her calmest. Willowpaw was always the calmest when she woke up (which wasn't very calm) And got more hyper as the day went on. She always had a story to tell, a joke to crack - something of the likes.

Roaring rivers rushed through the territory, separating then coming together, almost like how Twolegs would say DNA looks like, but a countless number of them, all of them connected together. Every once in a while a cat would come across a dry patch of land, walk across it, then fall down into the rushing water as the sand collapses under their weight. Even sometimes a cat would run into a shark, but those occasions are rare. Other cats may ask, why in the world would any Clan, or even a rogue, want to live here? The answer is really pretty obvious: they're used to it. LagoonClan was perfectly fine to the rushing water, sharks, and disguised land. Warriors were known for their swimming, and kits have the cool touch of water on their fur as soon as their eyes are open. The cats lived on one of the many islands that were between the rivers, though most of them were asleep at the moment. It was only breaking dawn, where a few cats would be awake at the moment. Yet a few were.. A pale gray tabby head burst from a rushing river, droplets splattering from it and landing back into the river. For a moment it bobbed, moving in the current, before a roar came from the river and the cat was pushed back underwater. Anybody, cat or another animal, would instantly think that this cat needed help, but if they thought that they were wrong. The tabby's legs took long strides in the water, pushing its head up above the water once more. The gray she-cat absolutely loved swimming; every once in a few days she would go out of the camp early and take a swim. The feel of water filtering through her fur and tasting the sweet, cool air the moment you go up to take a deep breath; what more could a cat ask for? The warrior looked up at the sky with her blue-green eyes before dipping her head once more under the water. She knew that dawn has already come and that she should go back to camp soon; at least she took a long walk, then jumped into a river that would take her back to camp. The she-cat swam for a moment longer, then burst through the surface of the river, struggling with the current to reach the island. As soon as she made it to dry land she shook her fur, as a dog would've done, making her look like a gray-and-white puffball once she was done. Noticing that two apprentices were awake despite the time, the she-cat quickly started to groom her still damp fur, making it lie flat against her skin. Her rough tongue scraped over a scar on her pelt, the warrior remembering an attack that a shark gave her once when she was swimming. Some cats had thought that she was going to quit swimming when that happened, but nothing was going to stop her from the water. Willowstride just happened to be like that.

Marshpaw whipped around to see his friend Willowpaw coming up beside him.
"Oh, hey, Willowpaw!" he meowed, smiling. "I'm glad another apprentice is up. I can't wait to go out and hunt, and I hope we learn some new fighting moves today!"
Marshpaw looked at the she-cat mischieviously, dropping down onto his front paws and sticking his rump in the air. He waved his tail once, then leaped, stretching out his paws with his claws sheathed. He landed squarely on her, and batted at her ear playfully.

"Oh yes. That'll be-" She was cut off as Marshpaw lept at her, nocking heron her back. Willowpaw laghed, batting his belly with her back paws, carefull to keep her claws sheathed.

Marshpaw let out a play-growl, narrowing his eyes.
"Get out of my Clan's territory, you cowardly LabrynthClan cat!" he meowed playfully, adding in a quick grin before he changed his expression back to a snarl. He cuffed her over the ear, claws sheathed.

Marshpaw felt himself nearly fall over as Willowpaw's weight landed on his shoulders. He huffed, then rolled over onto his back, letting himself land hard on her stomach, but making sure not to hurt her. He batted at her face, growling.
"Well, then, I'll fight you until you crawl back to your territory like the coward cat you are!" Marshpaw meowed, letting out a long purr.

Willowpaw struggled under his weight. "We'll see about that!" She mewed, battering at his back from underneath him. It wasn't quite as affective as she would have liked, though - her mentor was yet to teach her what to do when a cat rolls over after you pounce on them.

Marshpaw cuffed Willowpaw over the ear, then squirmed away from her, panting.
"You fight good, for a LabrynthClan cat," he teased, flicking her with his tail.
He sat down and began licking his paw, which hurt from when he rolled over. He'd landed on it on accident, and stopped the fight because of it. But he didn't want Willowpaw to know about it, he was too proud, and it wasn't that bad.

""hmpfh." Willowpaw grunted as if she were annoyued, but her giggling came soon after that. She began to quickly lick down the ruffled fur on her chest. It was understanding Marshpaw had won - Willowpaw had been training for less than a moon, and he had been two moons. Two moons hardly seemed like much to most, but at such a young age, it was a world of diffrence. She was hungry, but she hadn't hunted yet today.

Solarflare sighed as she awoke, walking towards the source of noise that awoke her in the first place. "None of you know how fun sleep is, huh?" She complained, stretching.

Marshpaw looked up to see Solarflame padding up to them.
"Hey, Solarflame," he meowed, smiling. "Nope, not really. Who can sleep when LabrynthClan cats are invading?" He cast a glance at Willowpaw and grinned.
((Hey, does Solarflame have an apprentice? ;]))

Willowpaw boke into laughing once more. "I don't know how you can sleep when its light out anyways." She mewed with a shrug. "I get waay too hot, youn know?"

"Yes, it does, but that's when sunhigh comes up, Willowpaw," Willowstride stepped in, staring slightly at her apprentice. Sometimes she found the young cat's voice annoying, or just darn cute as some cats found it. At the moment, when she was wide awake, cute would do better than annoying. "But you can at least keep quiet. The mews of you two can wake up LabrynthClan right now, and they live underground!" she joked quietly, then turned her head to Solarflare. "What, did these two wake you up?"
