Mousewhisker nodded to Pinefrost, dipping her head to the medicine cat. Wolfhowl quickly did the same.
"Goodbye, then," Mousewhisker meowed. "Have a nice day."
With that, the she-cat hurried after her friend, Wolfhowl right behind her. They left camp, and Wolfhowl breathed in the scents of the woods and prey. He sighed, then flexed his claws. He was more than ready to start hunting!

Rapidglance set a fast-pase, though not yet running, seeing she didn't know where they were going to hunt. "Shall we go to the giant tree by the swamp?" She mewed. The giant tree, as it was quite simply named, had to have been the biggest tree that had ever grown in any clan, before it fell, that is. Now it was a huge, charred carcass, nearly covered in mice and sparrows.

Wolfhowl nodded, grinning. "Sure. We'll be able to catch a whole lot there!" he said, hurrying forward alongside Rapidglance and his sister.
Mousewhisker smiled. "Yeah, sounds good to me," she meowed as they neared the giant tree.

"It's not as if you're going to be away the entire day," Pinefrost muttered as he got up and stretched, his amber eyes trailing to the spot where the warriors left. Their little hunting trip was no more of concern for him; now it was to go out and find herbs. I'll just be gone for a while.. Hopefully Thornkit will be awake by the time I come back. He thought as he slinked off away from the camp, heading towards the center of TimberClan territory. Carefully picking over small trees and squeezing under the larger ones, the medicine cat reached the swamp. Eyes narrowed at his wet paws, the cat moved towards the muddy pond located in the middle of it. For a moment he paused, taking a few mouthfuls of the muddy water; he had already gotten used to it, though he would prefer fresh water. He moved his head around a few times, trying to filter the liquid with his teeth, then swallow, spitting out scraps of mud. Not far from the puddle was a single bush; dark purple juniper berries hung from the small, thin branches. Right next to the pool was a bunch of horsetail, which grows in marshy areas, and some marigold was many foxlengths away. Also around the pool there were thyme and comfrey, both extremely useful for wounds, cough, and shock. The swamp was the best place to find herbs, though it was true that the lack of sunlight made it so that not that many grwoth came. Taking in a deep breath, the tabby was able to scent a hint of ragwort. Ragwort only gave a strong scent when it was crushed, as he had heard before. Pinefrost padded warily over to the scent, seeing the lobed leaves of the plant. This will do good. the medicine cat thought, his eyes glimmering with satisfaction when seeing how much leaves there were. He bent down and picked out a few leaves; he would leave the rest to grow. Careful not to crush them, he padded back towards camp.

Now that they had decided on a place, Rapidglance broke into a dash. A cat from any other clan would have been barely able to manage a trot in this maze of trunks - but Timberclan practiced their agility as soon as they became apprentices. Agility was as important for mentors to teach their apprentices as fighting and hunting was, or they would never be able to go anywhere above a snail's pace without at least a sprained paw to show for it. But Rapidglance, l;ike her clan mates, seemed to glide in and out and over, to squeeze through tight spots as nimbly as a mouse and to leap over walls of tightly packed walls higher than a cat from any other cl;an could hope to leap. It was truly a beautiful thing to watch Timberclan's warriors move through their territory.

Mousewhisker saw Rapidglance take off, and she quickly began to race after her. She loved running and the challenge that came along with it of avoiding things, jumping over things, and crawling under things. Although it had become easy for her, she still loved it, feeling like a squirrel or mouse or even a bird, crawling, leaping, running as fast and nimbly as they could. Sometimes it felt like she was flying.
Wolfhowl took off after his sister and friend, the giant tree nearing into sight. Determined to get there first, he strained his muscles to run faster, sprinting ahead until he was brushing pelts with Mousewhisker. Casting a smile her way, he ran ahead of her, bounding towards Rapidglance. The giant tree was growing closer and closer - he was running out of time. Mousewhisker was right at his heels, and Rapidglance wasn't too far ahead, but he realized they were too close to the tree for him to have time to run past his friend. He scrambled to a stop by the swamp's edge, stealing second place although it wasn't a real race. He was really competitive like that.

Paleflower yawned, burying the remains of her finch. Rising to her paws, she glanced at the fresh kill pile. It was a fair size, but it couldn't hurt to add to it. The tabby she-cat ducked as she squeezed her way out of the wooden dome-like structure. With her ears pricked, she dropped into a crouch to slink through the undergrowth, winding around trees, and scrambled over fallen logs. Her eyes narrowed into slits, she came to a stop. There was a fleeting noise beside her, from a fern bush. Turning her hindquarters slowly, she came to face the scent of prey. She opened her mouth and drank in the scent. Vole. Running her tongue along her muzzle, she crept forward. A dry leaf crunched underfoot, and her target shot out of the bush. But she was right after it, her feet pounding into the dirt. It wasn't long before she had trapped it under a paw and delivered a swift killing bite.

Rapidglance didn't realize it was a race untill after it was over. And thyen she quickly realized she had won. "So there." She mewed, sticking her tounge out at Wolfhowl as if she had been in on it all allong. Then she turned her pale gaze to the Giant Tree. Even on it's side it was fox length apon fox length tall, and it's length was unimaginable, had you never seen it. Peices had been burnt away, peices rotted away, counless holes chewed by mice, rats, and voles... it was thriving with life. If you blurred your ees it looked as if the deceased tree its self were moving, breathing.... It was incredible.

OOC: Mhm, I've missed a lot as well. I've been at my cousin's for a few days X] && now my other cousin is coming over saturday. I have too many cousins. XD Ruggedclaw left his spot where he was sitting. He took in what seemed to look like chaos in the camp, everyone busy doing this and that. There were barely any available warriors, what with all the others hunting and what not. He flicked his tail, he would gather a patrol to re-new the scent markings. That should give him something to do. He looked around for any cat who was willing to go who had not yet had their paws tied down with something else at the moment. Seeing Ghostheart go into the Warrior's Den, he decided to try there. He bounded over and through the entrance in a few single, rythmic leaps. "Ghostheart," he called "Will you join me on a patrol?"

Wolfhowl looked at Rapidglance, confused. After a few seconds he realized that she had figured out about his race that wasn't really a race. His competitive streak showing through, Wolfhowl meowed, "I wasn't trying. I could've won easily, if I was."
Mousewhisker sat next to the two cats, panting. "You sure about that, Wolfhowl?" she asked, grinning. She'd grown up with his competitiveness, and she knew he was actually really good at a lot of competitive-like things. But she also knew when he was lying and just wanted to make himself look like he could've won. She smiled, shaking her head.
